Product Description

Philani Yabantwana is a tasty fortified maize food supplement aimed at children at risk of developing malnutrition or those with a compromised immune status. Philani Yabantwana is lactose- and gluten-free, and fortified to provide 100% of the RDA of all vitamins, minerals and trace elements in one to two servings per day. It is mixed with hot water to form a tasty instant porridge. Special features include high levels of anti-oxidants – especially selenium, ascorbic acid and beta-carotene – as well as beta-sit sterols and are flavones. Apart from the direct benefits on the immune system, long-term benefits regarding prevention of degenerative diseases of lifestyle are a distinct possibility. Philani Yabantwana Instant Porridge also contains an enzyme mixture to aid digestion and improve absorption and bioavailability of nutrients. Added methyl sylphonyl methane (MSM) and N-Acetyl L-Cystein provides sulphur compounds to assist the body in replacing sulphur losses experienced with malnutrition and immuno-deficiency diseases. All these features do not only provide an affordable option for food supplementation, but ensure the availability of a culturally acceptable oral supplement.

Mixing Instructions

Mix 11 level scoops (100g) of product with 250ml 1 cup) hot water, one serving  of  Philani Yabantwana will  provide a minimum of 80% of the  NRV’s.

Packaging

The product is packed in 1Kg (10 Serving) re-sealable laminated plastic sachets and packed in double walled boxes of 10. Each packet contains a scoop for ease of mixing. The packaging has been designed to protect the product even under extreme delivery conditions.

Production is based on internationally recognised ISO 22000 principles. The Company is ISO22000 certified with SGS and complies with Codex Alimentarius. Procurement of the raw materials and storage of the ingredients both before manufacture and the finished product are strictly regulated. All finished goods and raw materials are fully traceable.
